This Hinge Kit has a unique stopping feature that prevents the hinge from opening past a specific point. You can easily adjust the angle as you see fit. The hinge mounts to the side of the edge of the fans. Once positioned, simply bolt the other part of the hinge directly to the stack. Then, when the fan is tipped to open, the hinge pivots on the bolt and stops against the plate that is mounted to the stack.
